DaysDone is built with an offline-first and privacy-focused architecture. We do not require you to create an account, and your personal events, goals, and customized countdowns remain stored locally on your device.
2. Information We Collect and How We Use It
A. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
- Personal Events & Widgets: All custom event names, dates, countdown timers, categories, widget customizations, and local background photos are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit or store this data on our servers.
- Manual Backups: If you choose to export your events and widget configurations, the backup file is created locally on your device and under your direct control.
B. Device & Technical Information (Collected Automatically)
To ensure app stability, detect bugs, and improve performance, we use reputable third-party diagnostic services:
- Crash & Performance Data: If the app crashes, anonymous crash logs and stack traces are collected via Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) to help us identify and fix bugs. This data includes device model, operating system version, and general error logs without personally identifying information.
C. Purchase & Subscription Data
- In-App Purchases: All financial transactions and payment processing are handled directly by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card, debit card, bank details, or UPI information.
- Receipt Validation & Entitlements: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and unlock Pro features (e.g., unlimited events, premium widgets). RevenueCat processes anonymous app user identifiers and Google Play purchase tokens to verify purchase validity.
3. Device Permissions Requested
DaysDone only requests device permissions that are strictly necessary to deliver core functionality:
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Required only if you configure event reminders and countdown alerts.
- Exact Alarm / Schedule Exact Alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Required to ensure event notifications and widget milestone alerts trigger precisely on time.
- Photo / Media Picker: Used exclusively when you choose to customize widgets with a personal photo background. Selected images remain on your local storage.
